Starting at 14th Street, we walk to 7th Ave (Avenue). We get coffee at Starbucks and walk like real New Yorkers (at least it feels like that, does the little loser in me thinks XD) towards 8th Avenue. I count, 13th Street, 12th Street. But I see no market. Could there be a small stand somewhere inbetween the apartments in a back alley? I have no image of it.
I ask someone who passes by for the famous Chelsea Market. Andit looks we are close. When we walk down the Ave we see a big building with a big sign: ‘Chelsea Market’. It has a cow as logo. We go inside and we see a man on the right who looks like some security dude. The Hall is lightned from the little shops inside. Directly to the left I see Anthropologie, an accessoirieshop which coincidentally is on my to-do list. Bingo, 2 to-do’s at once.
If we continue walking I spot Cookie Monster cupcakes, exactly as I saw them on my favorite blog Sincerely Jules, when she was in New York. We continue along a variety of small shops and check people drinking coffee at the cute little tables. We spotted a Sushi shop, more bakeries and Italian food. Along the way, we kind see water coming from the ceiling. However, we decided not to eat at the Chelsea Market. After some snooping in a cute souvenir shop and a shop with super cute marzipan Sex And The City boxes to give away, we walk back out. On to the next spot.
